No Arms? No Legs? No Worries!

by Lou Abbott on August 2, 2010

Nick Vujicic has found a way to give priceless gifts to tens, if not hundreds or thousands of thousands of people.

Perhaps you have met Nick before.  I had the privilege to see him speak to a small group some years back.  It was joy to rediscover him in this newer video.

In it, Nick  is reaching some grateful teenage girls with a very important and powerful message.  A message that many of them, sadly, may have never heard before.

Take four minutes to watch this video.  Then, remember we all have just as much to give should you choose the same kind of attitude toward life.

I love this video even more than the original one I saw of his – both are amazing to see what he has made of his life…he gives inspiration to so many and it is amazing to see. I put this video on my Training blog because it is all part of what we need to become in order to give of ourselves to our team…thanks Lou! :)

Hi Lou,

This is the second video I’ve seen of his. He has proven you can be the master of his attitude and through that has given so much to so many. It is up to the rest of us to live up to his example and provide service to others.

All the best,

Alan

Thanks for the reminder Lou! I have seen many videos of Nick and find his presentations unique. Truly our lives lived in the fullest depend on our attitude for living in the fullest!

Nick exemplifies in dramatic fashion by his appearance and behavior that which so many people simply “don’t get.” Life is not made up of what you can’t do and it is to that the masses cater. We hear it every day with the morning weather, “partly cloudy.” When it should be, “partly sunny.” Stop lights vs. go lights. Everyday contracts cover more exclusions and what you can’t do than what you can.

One must realize our purpose on this earth is totally dependent on our relationships with “other” people, yet so many are caught up focusing on the relationship within “themselves.” Life is so much more fulfilling “giving” and receiving 10 fold than “taking” and receiving one, two or none.

Nick openly demonstrates, regardless of our real or “perceived” circumstances, we all have value and may provide benefit to others with less circumstances. We must look “within first,” take responsibility for ourselves and as Nick has shown, “choose” to provide value and benefit to others as we are capable.

Thank God there are people like Nick to show us with such impact the realization of choosing our attitude and providing benefit and value to others despite our personal challenges. Live in the moment with gratitude focusing on the goal to make someone else’s day better for coming in contact with you.

We are all unique and in sharing our uniqueness we become better as a society.

With gratitude and appreciation,
Craig Mattice

This just proves that our limitations are within us. No matter what difficulties you have, if you push forward and never let anthing get in the way, We Will Have Success.

Nick with no arms or legs proves this very point. Difficulties in life are like having no arms or legs. Our first instinct is GiveUp. This is the very thing that we must never let happen. We can always find a way through the darkess moment if we just look for the light. The light is always there but sometimes cannot be seen because we have lost our focus.

Never GiveUp, keep searching for the light. I am an example because I am legally blind and I have to look to find light. I have taught myself not to GiveUp but keep searching until I can find light in my Vision.

Helen Keller once said to a reporter when asked “What is worse than being blind?” Her response was “Sighted with NO vision” I find that very inspiring. She was not only blind but deaf and was taught to do things that a sighted person could not do. It takes determination and goal setting. With goal setting, have determination and Never GiveUp until you reach that goal.

We all pocess these atributes, we must discover them and use them and never GiveUp until we reach our goals.

God Bless
